Hi, I’m Frankie!
I’m a queer, non-binary (they/she) Certified Intimacy Coordinator based out of Toronto, Canada and one of the first certified non-binary Intimacy Coordinators in Canada. My intimacy coordinator training was through the SAG-AFTRA accredited Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA), the leading international intimacy coordinator program for film and television. I was trained and mentored by one of the world’s first ICs, Amanda Blumenthal (Euphoria; the White Lotus; the L Word: Generation Q; et al.) and Rebecca Johannsen (the Summer I Turned Pretty; Griselda; That 90’s Show; et al.).
Before working as an Intimacy Coordinator— and as a lover of all things creative and aesthetic— I worked in the arts department as a set dresser on numerous projects.
Prior to my career in film, I spent over a decade researching and educating in the fields of Gender and Sexuality Studies, Film Theory, and Queer Theory. I have won several awards and accolades for my research, teaching, and international conference organization.
My Ph.D. research at York University focused on representations of infertility and queer family systems in film and television. I also hold a Master of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University in Cultural Analysis and Social Theory where I researched the intersections of monstrosity and femininity in film. In addition to these, I hold an Hons. Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, with a double major in Women and Gender Studies and German Language Studies.
When I’m not on-set you can find me in the cinema logging my latest watches on Letterboxd, solo hiking around the world, or spending time with my sweet rescue pup Juno.
